For the Latest on In My Element, we explore SV and KD's effective partnership.

SV and KD are the artist-producer duo who possess a sonic synergy too heavy for words but one that is perfectly perceived in the songs they create together.

For SV, the skillful lone wolf rapper who opts to deliver his retrospective rap lines at his own pace, teaming up with the prolific and ever-evolving beatsmith KD means he gets to express himself in full gear. With every new creative collaboration between the two, the theme remains the same: every SV and KD team up is crazy.

Working together over the years, they continue to prove to us that two talents are in fact better than one. The pair boast a crystalline musical kinship and understanding that has cemented through the years.

In SV, we have one the most elusive and exciting Nigerian rappers who has developed a trademark storytelling approach to his records and at his most comfortable, delivers short bursts of witty mellow bars at his own tempo to narrate vividly and in tiny doses. Throughout his triumphant trilogy: I Love You SV, SV Saved My Life and Thank You SV, he was (and still is) on the grind; refining his perspective and style as well as fusing his musical influences and personal experiences to develop into a proficient Rapper and storyteller.

Another storyteller in his own way, KD is the Artiste-Producer who will inevitably receive the awards but has already won the streets. A super talented record producer and artiste who is in a love affair with melodies, KD’s come up has been in phases. His evolution has seen him develop his ability to create satisfying sequences of both notes and stories in order to convey emotions and experiences through melodies. Perhaps his greatest strength is that he can set the scene for every artiste’s story. Meeting them halfway like he did with Loti on their joint EP, artistes give him their stories filled with tales of adventure and sins and he crafts the scenes and impeccable production well suited to every song.

Here are some of our favorite SV tracks produced by KD:

OMAR COMIN' (HELLO)

on OMAR COMIN' (HELLO) SV makes his arrival known. Fusing together a melody heavy with mischief and tamed trap drums, KD produced a record well suited to capture the mood for SV's opener where he talks about putting in the work, betrayal and his dedication to himself and his craft.

MARTIN LUTHER V

KD's delivery of Siren sounds layered over an excited bounce serves as the perfect palette with which SV paints a glossy image of the possible highs and lows of his inevitable success and one that sends a warning signal to his imitators.

ANGELA BASSETT (D.F.D.N)

ANGELA BASSETT sees KD's production perfectly complement SV's cadence as he echoes his thoughts on love, fame and his adventures.

Brotherhood and brilliance always come into play when the two collaborate and as they continue in their dynamic dalliances with rythm, bars and melodies; SV and KD will always prove that they are one of the best at what they do.
